awww f**k.. i correct. the mesh in the airbox was supposed to be stainless steel, and i bought it from local autostore as stainless... exept it wasnt! Found yesterday a small spot of rust and painted the mesh immediately black.. but it looks a lot better with black mesh!

yeehaw, I got my 5-0DRO pulley cover today! Thanks 50dro, great detailing!

tomorrow i will change front brake pads and install the cover, then i am ready for saturdays trackday!

Next upgrade is propably rearsets or firebolt pegs.. The S pegs are little too low for me.. Gilles rearsets would be perfect but... €€€..

Whoa, it was day off from work and i decided to start winter project with buell.

Plans for winter (hopefully):
Carbon fiber airbox, bellypan, front fender
new levers
new blinkers
ceramic coated or chemical polished headers
replace the leaky rear rocker box gasket
new belt covers (DONE)
etc...

I removed the belt covers couple years ago but i didnt like the look of those brackets in +06 swingarm. Today i spent few hours in garage and cutted new from 3mm thick aluminum. They came out pretty nice and will be powdercoated black For lower guard i will bend little edge to the top so it will carve nicely down. PICS

Updates:

We have also another winter project in our garage; my friends X1 -2000. Plans for that for the winter are:
-powdercoated wheels and subframe
-black painted swingarm
-new tail light assembly
-new decals for plastics (scallop)

My bike is also teared down and i will disassembly forks and anodize black upper tubes and bottoms will be painted black. Pictures later when i have something to show
