For the love of God and all that is good and holy within your soul
DO NOT use a torque wrench on any oil drain plugs

seriously....i know you dont want anyone to do this but i have seen you post this in so many random threads the past few weeks. knock it off.

there is no reason you cant use a torque wrench either. just not to the torque listed in the manual. 15 ft-lb is a safe number

I don't understand why you would need to though. Just turn in till its tight and stop. I don't a wrench to make a clicking noise to know its tight :)

Welcome to Buellxb. I can and will post what I want. My post is not offensive and no where near as redundant as some of the crap on here.
But thanks for your input/ Sorry if it ruffled your dress. Maybe you shold pass on by my post from now on.

i never said i used a torque wrench on it. just pointing out that you can in fact use one without stripping the plug because im sick of the blah blah blah dont use a torque wrench on the drain plug for his past 50 posts. dress = ruffled

CRAP!!!! I used a TQ wrench last time, is there a DIY thread on how to undo the bolt, and tighten it back down without the TQ wrench?......

Oooooooh, Thanks for the reminder netty. What kind of blinker fluid? Full synthetic/ mineral oil mix. What?

Dave make sure you get 20wO2. It wont work without that, its rare oil but the local auto shop will have some.

Lol! Loki is spot on! Local shop will have some, but it usually gets pushed back on the shelf behind the humper dumper. Just ask for it, you'll find it! [up]:D
