Just changed the front brake rotor and brake pads.Brakes are now binding and feel like they've been applied about 25%..quite a bit of resistance when brakes are released...wheel does not moive freely when brake is released

Id start by taking everything apart, making sure the piston moves freely, lube all contact points with GOOD brake lube then reinstall...

The fact that u plaid with the front brake resulting in such problems and asking questions I recommend to go the professional... be safe

I've now solved my issues with the rotor and brake pad replacement. One of the bushings on the rotor was hung up which misaligned the rotor and caused the pads to hang up. Thanks to squidbuellie for your information......it was helpful....cheers

I've one more question re: the brake rotor...the manual refers to a reference mark on the rotor...I was able to find one on the old rotor, but not the new....or do you set your own reference mark when you install the new rotor...with thanks...

Bleed your brakes. It took me several times to get mine back to feeling right. I think it has something to do with forcing the pistons back into their bores creating air bubbles. Since this episode I have put like 150 miles on the bike and they drag less and less each time.

Also. The pin that holds the shoes in place needs to be cleaned as best you can and lubed. I used a Teflon based lube on mine.

Hope this helps.
