I've always been a big fan of Buell and I always wanted to own one. I was selling a Triumph cafe racer I built and the guy offered me $200 cash and trade for his Buell XB, so I jumped at the chance to own one. It's got a full Ohlins suspension and steering stabilizer, Drummer exhaust, chain conversion as well as some other goodies. So far I'm really liking it, it's totally different from my other bikes (FXR, road glide and 09 CBR1000RR). IT's probably the best handling bike I've ever owned, I'm liking the forum so far, a ton of info.

Wow any pictures of what you traded? There's a good chunk of cash tied up in that bike looks good

More info... obviously the guy wasn't afraid to spend the money for the suspension. Any motor work done to it.. year and miles and what motor

I don't think the swing arm is so much extended as it's just a chain set up swing arm... seems like I remember seeing those before

I know the original owner of this bike, he lives in Sag Harbor and was an avid racer back in his day. That bike was babied like no other but still ridden like it was intended. Many a trip to deals Gap with it as well. If you want his contact info hit me up and I'll put you in contact or post this up on Badweb where he will most definitely chime in. His badweb moniker is Gentleman Jon.

Like the rest i think it looks great, but for my taste i would rather see the smaller rear tire hugger. Just my opinion.

Hey guys thanks. This is the Triumph I traded

I believe it's a Lightning with a Firebolt tail. The bike has 17k on it and I got it from the 2nd owner I believe. I'm pretty sure the chain conversion was done by Hals speed shop. There are so many modifications to it, it must have cost a good chunk of change to build it. I would love to talk to the guy who built it originally
