I have 7,000 miles on my Ducati Diavel now and haven't had a single problem.
That's a good point; I understand the newer models are more reliable. All I know is that if I had a dime for every time I've seen a 916, 996, or 998 break down, I'd be able to afford me one!

In 2,500 miles my bike has 1 cracked frame 2 waterpumps 1 stator.
needless to say i should have avoided the fire sale------------------..:p

It's like you're describing an 1125. That is what you're doing, right?

didn't Buell use Ducati electrics in the 1125??? explains a lot doesn't it...!

you would hope with the Ducati price tag that it would come with its own pit crew cause 99% of the time you'll need then once the bike hits 10,000 miles.

over here in NZ its a $3000 engine rebuild at the 10,000 mile service.

@ Dean:
All you need is an XB12 and a Uly and you've got the matching set! That's a pretty picture. The only thing that would make it better would be me sitting on top of the RX
