I have an '03 Blast with a Kerker pipe and every time I get on the throttle real good the bike wants to bog down and try to cut out. It's cut out a couple of time around 50mph and I'll stop and wait about 5 minutes. For some reason this will allow me to start the engine but it's a hard start and it struggles for about a minute or so. After some revving in N it's good to go. I've explained my problem to a couple of friends who work on ATVs and they said it needs to be rejetted. I'm just wanting another opinion. Any help with be much appreciated.

Wow my buddy had a Kerker on his V-Max those things are NASTY LOUD. Did you custom fit that thing? or did you purchase with it already done?

Too rich try 45/175 jetting, 2 1/2 turns out on the air screw - those are fricken loud! Power same as the Pro-series and 4 times the noise. It was this exhaust and a bad K&N not made for the bike that actually skewed the instructions used on the Blast Dynojet kit - which are almost oposite of the twin instructions - due to how bad the aftermarket parts used where - sigh.

I got the bike two years ago but just started riding frequently. The pipe was already on the bike and yes it is extremely loud. Thank both of you for the info. @ezblast, do you have a link or a quick rundown of the 'air-box' mod? Just thought of something else, once when it bogged down I started it up after about 5 minutes and with my feet planted on the ground felt a sort of kick from the air-box on my right thigh. Thank you again.

Change out intake boot first - may solve problem. The Kirker jetting would be secondary to that.

It's a little rusted. Planning on getting that fixed this summer.

Some new info. Haven't yet done anything to the 'Bee' but rode it yesterday to work. Didn't want to but my car was in the shop so I had to. On the way back home it stalled out and when I got off to let it set and have a cigarette I noticed smoke coming from either the airbox and blowing to the right of the bike by the carb or it was coming from the carburator itself. Not sure if this helps diagnose anything else wrong or just re-clearifies the already mentioned problem but there it is. Any other theories?

Figured out the problem, FINALLY! The air hose or overflow hose(whichever it is) on the gas tank was pinched off in the left passenger peg bracket. The oil drain hoses were actually pinching the air hose off to the point were it wouldn't let the carb get any gas during prolonged high RPMs.:D
