If KTM puts a bigger motor in it Im all over it.
Its a 125 concept bike targeting young riders.

I read an article back n about 02... A dirt bike magazine was compairing KTM's to jap. dirt bikes... The just of it was for the last 20 years EVERYONE had been trying to match honda, kawaies, and suzukis bikes... now these big 3 are trying to match KTM's bikes... The more research I do the more I like ktm.. Fast, light, awesome handling, and cool looking. Pretty much the same reason I decided to go with buell. Ive owned 3 buells (bought them all brand new) I just hope they dont keep their factory doors closed long!!!!

When I say bigger motor I mean a 450, I had a DRZ400sm before the buell and I loved that bike. Something to just rip around on. My mantra is "its funner to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow". I can care less about going fast or having the fastest bike a bike night, Im more about riding it than looking at it. That bike just oozes fun.

If they could keep those great lines and somehow jam their 650 thumper into it, oh, man - watch out aprilia/bmw f650!

That is a wicked looking bike! I've got an 01 Honda CR250R 2 stroke that I've thought about making into a supermoto but I'd have to figure out a better way to mix fuel if I have to fill up at the pump... I think a 2 stroke on the street would be the sh!t.

i think that bike would be good with a 4 or 500 cc two stroke. would be a good launch for the direct injection 2 stroke that ktm is rumored to be working on.

This is the RD350 two stroke concept drawing from Yamaha. Its the clean two stroke technology Yamaha is working on. Im digging this bike also if it ever develops into a production bike.

Im thinking is DI like the outboard motors. It would have a small oil tank like 1 gallon or so and direct inject it. I would love to see something like that.

Interesting. I know Suzuki had a few 3 cylinder 2-strokes back in the 70's. I always kinda wondered how they Worked on the road with all the constant speeds and stop and go traffic. With 2-stroke dirtbikes unless you crank them out a lot they foul the plugs and can clog things up.

I used to have a yamaha rd250 2-stroke oil injected street bike I think it was a 1972 the thing screamed on the road.

There were lots of two stock street bikes in the 80s and early 90s Like the Yamaha rd350 which is the same motor a the banshee 2cyl 2 stock, The more exotic and rare bikes like the yamaha RD500 and suzuki RG500 which were both 500cc v-4 and square 4 two strokes, Then in the 90s bikes like the aprilia RS250 250cc v-twin two stroke and the nsr250, as well as the suzuki rgv250 same motor as the aprilia.
the as late as 2000 there was the bimota Vdeu which is a 500cc v-twin two stroke which tried to be the first clean two stroke but unfortantly failed.

Two stock are just fine on the street they do not foul plugs or flood or anything long as there are set up right no faster then a yz250f anyway.
The boat motor maker Evinrude gave up on 4 strokes because they could not make them as good as there new e-tec two strokes. the e-tecs are lighter more powerful and just as clean as any 4-stroke and cheaper to make and maintain.
I think there is still alot of future in two stroke technology with all of the advances in computer aided designs as well as advances in materials as well as electronics.

and it was kawasaki that had the 3 cyl 2 strokes not suzuki. i have a 750 triple ive been restoring for about 7 years ill have to dig it out of the shop and get some pics
