I have been lured in to the grasp of the water cooled V-twin again. I love tubed trellis frames but don't care for the poor build quality of the HD versions. And I am leery of the Duc. that is second hand. Plus I have always liked the rarity of the 1125 or especially the KTM street bikes around here. The seating position of the Duke seems to be what I am after. After lots of going back and forth I think I have eliminated stuff from the list.
- No rice. I looked into the Yamies fizzer line and it just didn't do it for me. SV seemed too common and uneventful.
-Triumph, eh wasn't impressed
- No cheap stuff, i.e. quality components. I always thought the xb's dash looked like a toy.
I guess I was looking for an 1125 that was still in business that has a network and a name, hence the KTM.
They sound like an apache at idle. Aftermarket is plentiful. That is why I liked the Kaw I had. The KTM has tuning software readily available and easy to use like Tunerpro and spy. The similarities just keep popping up. So I have decided to get one. Who knows how long I will have this one because there will always be the next greatest bike out there for me but for me now I am excited about something. The last time I felt like this was when I was on the hunt for the 1125r.
