First off I want to say thanks to Delta One for the sweet pics!!!![up]

Although we all know the day ended badly for both me and my bike here are some of the good shots.

But to all those non-believers, Well I finally have some proof for those who say you cant lean hard with an XB with it lowered, Ss swing arm, and a 200mm, or hell any of the single three.

Enjoy, as you can see the front tire is at the lips edge, although the rear has a little more it doesnt inhibit the lean at all. [up]

I did have to watch my feet since I had the 1" drop pegs, so I was constantly dragging my toes, here you can see how close they were in this shot. I did also have the Barbs removed so they wouldnt scrap.

I'll get some of those edited up and re post with them looking all spiffy

very cool pics! [up]
IMO the 4th one is wicked cool!
I am suprised with your foot placement on your pegs B....
I am a balls of the feet kinda guy myself
;)

I eventually had to set my toes high up on the pegs in the hard turns.... But I am just more comfortable with my feet as they are in the pics,

The last known photos of xtremelow's XB in action.

LOL Kinda eerie... like watching the Zapruder film right before Kennedy is shot.

I like the first pic. Especially if Delta One can clean it up and make it more crisp.

I bet you are sore and stiff today! Get better soon.

yah...you showed us!!! I'm a believer now!

;)

Yeah, I have to say extreme, while those are some sweet pics its scary as hell looking at your rear tire in those corners your contact patch is almost non existant..... cant help but wonder???

oh SNAP, you didn't..LOL :D

I am a firm believer that its the riders skill and not the bike itself that are important in being able to ride.

Obviously B knows how to ride and can shut the naysayers down!
Much like a dude who can carve up corners on a smaller displacement bike while larger ones struggle to keep the pace...
:)

I didn't realize your bike was lowered. How'd you do it?

I have the front forks slipped and the bracket I have to mount up the rear shock for my Ss swing arm allows for the same 2" drop to keep the stock rake.

I see your point but it was holding and I wasnt sliding, plus the front tire is basically maxed out so IMO for riding the road it was maxed out. Plus the actual contact patch of any of our tires is anything but big

The skill matters greatly but some factors come into play no matter where or how good of a rider you are such as AMA races guys losing it in corners from oil, water, or sand. In my case the turkey caused me to go off into the gravel, dirt, and whatever other debris was awaiting my doom.

I tried to brake at firsts but knew that wasnt happening and with a few metal death rods and a big telephone pole in my path I had to try and steer out but the back tire gave out followed by the front which then just gave way to hells rath[down]

Just goes to show that form follows function sometimes. Best to make sure you have a road-safe bike than a road-pretty bike for the type of riding you like to do.

Sorry to hear you went down bud. Here's to hoping you heal quickly and get that beast back on the road ASAP. Hope the insurance company doesn't give you any ****. Your payments, however, are going to be rough with two totals in close proximity. That's why I eat turkeys instead of riding with them.
