Just installed LED blinkers on my GF's Lightning and had to use my LED Blinker Relay and was wondering if there is an alternative I could get at Auto Zone or something? Just dont feel like spending $20 for one off ASB.

I have heard a Jeep blinker relay will work but not sure? Also if anyone knows a part number would be great if possible.

Thanks Brandon:)

I just went to the local Auto Value store and picked one up. It was just a Tridon LED 3 prong flasher. Works great for my new LED's it was still $20 but I was able to get it instantly.

Just found the old package.
Listed as Tridon 12 Volt Electronic Flasher
A few numbers are listed.
EP35
20-1045-0

Hope that helps.

I've put on mine a resistance of 18 ohms ( 50 watts ) in parralel. Just put it between the two wires of your flasher. Cost less than a relay !!!

Yeah I will have to run back to the Store I tried one, but of course it was the wrong one. I tried the EP36 which did nothing when I put it on.

At least the guy was cool and let me open the package and try it before I bought it even though it was an electronic part.

Also do you have LED front and rear on your bike?

I have Cat Eye fronts and intigrated rear LED brake/turns.

See, I have wanted to do LED turn / tail on ALL of my vehicles, but have never wanted to put a resistor in line, it really defeats the purpose of having low wattage LEDs... I want to be able to leave my blinker on for days without the battery running low...

just my thoughts...

I put four (front and rear) Kellerman Micro Rhombus LED's. The existing flasher didn't work, way to slow on left. The new one worked like a charm.

I had the Tridon relay in my SV650. It worked great, but only lasted about a year before it started getting stuck. I'd have to pull it out every once in a while and give it a smack then it would work again for a few days. I could have just had a bad unit, but it might help it last longer if you wrap a little foam around it to dampen some of the vibration.

I just put on my integrated lights today and they look and work great. I bought the relay as well, but not sure if I want to put it on or not, I was liking Fido's idea of leaving it blink faster to be more noticeable.

My only question -since the relay didn't come with instructions, which wires go to which prongs if I decide to hook it up?

I like the fast blink also, but my problem is the LEDs I have are such low voltage that they don't even blink the relay just makes a buzzing noise and the lights stay on. In a way they blink so fast they don't blink if that make sense.

I have the EP36 and it works perfectly with my LED signals. It was 10 bucks at Advance Auto.

I am not electronically smart and still not sure where the relay goes? I have an option 6 coming from XB lights in the coming weeks and am trying to figure out where it goes? I will have to try Advanced. Does anyone have a write up on doing the tail lights?

i bought the one from ASB and it lasted 9 months. Put the stock on back in and like the fast blinking more so i kept it in. 3 years and working perfect!

I took mine out and took it to pepboys and just matched it up. I think mine is for a nissan, $8.00.
