Hey everyone, I am looking for a licence plate relocation kit that will go under the rear seat...one for looks and also two so the toll booth camera won't get my plate. Does anyone have any ideas besides just screwing it to the underside of the bike???

Awesome! Do you have any pictures of it upclose? If not then no worries, I am about to buy an 08 XB12R and I am just planning it out. How do you like the 9R? Have you had any problems with it?

closer than this you see nothing but black [confused]

That picture is perfect, sorry about mistaking the 9R. I was talking to someone else on another thread and they have a 9r. Nice bike thouhg! Thanks for your help.

Bitter Rod is your best source of information, he is a respectable police officer, I can't remember which state but he should be able to point you in the right direction. You can post up on your own thread if you like or just wait for him to chime in here.

Although I used a method similar to the picture posted by LeFox above, you can do it on the cheap by simply removing your stock plate mount, turning it 180 degrees (front to back) and cutting off the reflector ears. Re-mount it using the original bolt holes and voila- DIY undertail plate mount. You can bend the mount to get the angle you want and possibly get it to where the toll cameras won't pick it up.

Here's my setup. It seems to be mounted far enough forward that the toll booth cameras don't capture the plate image, but still visible enough that the cops don't say anything about it.

Thanks. It's an Ermax tail. I got it from American Sportbike a couple of years ago, but don't see it on the ASB site anymore.

Bevo,

I just picked up a 2005 XB12R that has a relocation kit, it is way back there. I need the OEM kit, because the fine here in FL is $1000. I would love to swap pieced with you when you pick up your bike if they are interchangeable.
