So I guess it depends on how you look at it. I feel lucky and at the same time unlucky... A couple nights ago I did my first endo. Of course it wasnt on purpose. I just dropped my girlfriend off at her car and was following her home on my bike due to her brake lights both being out in her car. We pulled up to a stop sign and she proceeded to go. I saw traffic was rather close so I was going to take off a little more aggresively so that I could stay behind her. I looked back in front of me as I was taking off only to see she decided to stop. At this point I was already in motion and had two options, hit her car or hit the brakes. It was all reaction and of course I only pulled the front brake... I put the bike completely up vertical. Was probably an inch away from flipping it. Was able to set it back down but not completely straight up and down. Ended up dropping the bike on its side... Was able to hop off as that was happening and picked the bike back up. Tried to start it with no luck. Turned it off. Flipped the kill switch and turned it all back on and she fired right up. Rode home to check if there was any damage and... none! Well minus my front left LED signals housing was bent and the lense was missing. I've been looking for and excuse to get me an integrated tail light w signals. Just need to find a deal! So felt lucky all in all. No damage to my bike, her car, or myself. She did see the whole thing though... She was a little freaked out for a bit.

Then today...
Was turning a corner, shifted up to third, and my clutch cable breaks! Stopped on the side of the road. Got a ride back to my house. Picked up my truck and picked up my bike. Now I need a new clutch cable. :(
On the bright side, Everything could be so much worse.

Wow! That was a long story!:)

I had my clutch cable snap on me and it was a scary feeling, with the only option of kiling the engine by slamming on the brakes.

For that big of a close call, sounds like you were LUCKY.

Wow! Sorry to hear but good thing you saved it...twice. I'm really thinking about an integrated taillight too. Keep us posted on what you get!
