Like the title says, I'm looking for a datalog of a properly running, healthy XB12R/S.

My bike has been running perfectly until a week ago. I'm suspect of a few things, but I'd like to have a look at a properly running datalog just to help me out.

My AFV keeps decreasing every time it's reset, and I'm experiencing surging, sputtering, etc at light throttle/low RPM. No codes (of course [sad]). I've done all the regular stuff (TPS reset, check plugs, check grounds, etc).

I refueled last week while a tanker was filling the underground tanks. I was totally out of gas so I didn't have a choice. The bike has been running badly ever since. I'm highly suspect of the fuel pump/filter/regulator.

I have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up for tomorrow's ride. Toggling ignition is showing a steady 50 psi.

So, anyone have a datalog? :)

Good luck, from what I've seen, no one will share it. There might be one at buellmods.com but other than that you probably won't find it.

Yeah I've never seen a datalog posted - not to mention one from a healthy running motor. Err...I should say 100% tuned motor.

I've got one, I'll pm you a link (04 xb12s) it's a 30+ minutes including cold starting and shutting off, I've even got a gps track you can look at that compliment it.

He needs to also know if the log was done on original maps or race maps or ore modified maps so there is a base map to be used to compare against.

Mine is 100% stock with a recent tps reset, actuator valve shut off, and that's it.

Jaimz - your datalog will work fine, I appreciate it!

Other members - i'm using ECMSpy and Megalog for diagnosing a running issue, not for tuning. Observing sensor values and behavior is all I'm after.

I'm sure some of the more DDFI-experienced members here would agree, using a datalog from someone elses bike to tune your own is a terrible idea!

Jaimz - thanks a ton for the datalog! I just did a quick comb-through of your log, and it's exactly what I needed. Hopefully I can get back on the road soon.

Cool man, glad I can help. I don't know why log files aren't shared more often.

Bump for an old thread.

Using jaimz's datalog and comparing it to mine, I was able to determine the fuel was bad, based on some wacky 02 sensor readings.

I went for a 30 minute ride with the fuel gauge hooked up, and taped to one of the mirrors so I could watch it while riding. With the plastic off the airbox and fuel lines and tape all over the place, I got some odd looks at stoplights. :D The fuel pressure was rock steady at 50 psi at all times. Back to the bat cave.

With the fuel delivery side of things eliminated, I looked into ECM function. I had hooked up my laptop to the bike and went on a ride to record the bike's behavior. Then I scrolled through the entire log, noting times when the bike would begin to act up. The 02 sensor was freaking out when it was happening - Jackpot. Buell XBer jaimz was kind enough to send me a datalog of his properly running bike, which I was able to use as a comparison, which verified my findings.

I drained out all of the fuel (the garage smelled LOVELY after that), filled up my gas can with some fresh, clean Sunoco 93 octane. I put a gallon or so in the Buell, and went for a quick ride. She runs like a thoroughbred!

That'll be the last time I ever refuel at a station when a tanker is refilling the tanks!
