On the way to work this morning the entire guage cluster went out as well as the turn signals. I still have power to the headlights. Any ideas? Haven't looked over anything yet but might it just be a fuse? Speedo, RPM, all indicator lights, etc. are none functional as well as the turn signals being out (so it's not limited to just the cluster).

OK. Just ran out and checked the fuses. The ACC fuse was burnt out (thank you Buell for including spares). Cluster functioned as soon as I replaced the fuse. Worried though based on all the posts that came up in the search of voltage regulator problems, especially since my batter was completely dead a few weeks ago and I just replaced it two weekends ago (although I think the reason the battery died was because I had the fork in the lock position and went a tad too far and engaged the rear brake light........why do they even have that?).

There's usually a reason that fuses die. Check power and ground to make sure everything is tight and you don't have a broken wire somewhere. The tail light is so people see the bike at night when you park it some place that has a lot of traffic so it doesn't get smoked.

Worried though based on all the posts that came up in the search of voltage regulator problems,

consider a few things:
1-you might have a dying key switch relay and/or ignition relay. both in your fuse box. look at underside of lid for schematic. they are standard ford and chrysler a/c relays....new ones cheap insurance at any auto parts joint.
2-run bike and check volts if VR a concern of yours. with multi-meter and motor at approx. 2500 rpm you are looking for something in the vicinity of 13.1-14.3 DC volts. outside those parameters you have charging issue requiring attention. place meter leads on corresponding battery terminals and set to DC volts range.
3-closely check each turn signal positive wire for chafing. worth a look
4-closely check main wire harness bundle at steering head area for chafing or worn spot. worth checking

I'm thinking the possibility is 3. I'm actually waiting for a replacement turn signal right now. I'm still going to run the test on the VR.

Had the exact same problem yesterday, turned out my brake light wires were chaffed causing the7.5A fuse to blow. Nothing some electrical tape can't fix
