Hey guys, just got my 05 firebolt 2 weeks ago, still getting it up to snuff with a jardine can and a new kickstand, and oil change soon. Ive been reading that the bike vibrates ALOT. how much is "alot"? the mirrors and signals vibrate alot on mine and bounce around a little, is that normal?

also, when I turn on

Yea it shakes the mirrors pretty good at idle and at different RPMs. Not sure what your asking when you turn it on? That's the fuel pump making that noise, sounds A little different than mine, but I'm pretty sure that's normal.

Yes, it all looks normal to me. If the check engine comes on while riding that's another story.

How about the oil light, guess an oil change is in order? It comes on after i turn the starter switch to off, but ins't on when im running the bike.

The fan also runs alot when i've been riding (about an hour ride and started 15 minutes or so into the ride).

sorry im new to buell's, had a GS500 before this so its a nice big step but im still getting used to the bike.

took it out for the first time today matter of fact haha:D

Oil light comes on indicating no/low oil pressure. When engine is off, you have no oil pressure. As long as it does not come on while engine is running, you are alright.

Also, the fan should come on intermittently while riding, and when you first shut down the bike.

I don't know firsthand yet, but if you switch to synthetic oil, it is supposed to reduce engine temps.

the fan has been on basically the whole time i was riding and then went off about 3-5 min after i turned it off...

hendro do you have a high flow filter like a K&N and the Jardine on the bike. Your fan should not run that much unless the outside air temps are in the 90's. Your bike sounds like its running lean.

all check lights come on at when setting the ignition switch on...that is to let you know that all lights are working.
