I'm not sure if it's the white piece that attaches to the headlight or the red wire that's giving me problems but I would like to replace it. Does anybody know if I can find that piece anywhere or will I have to order it?

Sometimes the normal running headlight will go out but the high beam will work just fine. What should I do?

I have a 2003 Buell XB9S.

I had that problem with my firebolt and it was just a little bit of corrosion on the fuse.

Yes that is what it looks like on mine too. I should have taken a picture of what it looked liked on the connecting part of the fuse.

Should I change it, try to clean it, if so how? Or just take it to a motorcycle repair shop and let them do the work?

Mine did the same for a bit. In my case, the plastic connectors weren't holding the wires well enough.

I ended up replacing the connectors and the ends to the wires

A new clean fuse and running a nail file in between the fuse connectors on the fuse block fixed all my issues. Using a small amount of dielectric grease on the new fuse never hurts.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to replace the connectors because when I move them the like goes on and off. Flaya, I really appreciate you posting the part #'s and details, but I don't know how you were able to order only 4 of those connectors. It says I have to order a minimum of 100 each. Looks like I'll try to find the parts locally.

It could be the voltage regulator. Super easy install and fix, that's what did it for me after running through about 4 low beams
