Hey Guys,
I'm riding a 2002 M2L Cyclone. Looking to replace the worn out tires that were on the bike when I bought it. And I wanted to check with the tubers to see what you guys have been running and what you recommend for this model. I generally ride solo, but sometimes have the girlfriend on the back. Mainly inter-city/interstate riding. I'm thinking of changing bikes, so I do not need to get into a very high priced tire. Although, I would like a tire that will perform with my aggressive riding style and use of the M2's high torque output for the remainder of my time with this bike. What do you think?? All input and insight will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey after doing some research I just put an order in for the Michelin pilot power 2ct tires, from what Ive read they have amazing grip through turns and there dual compound so the center doesnt wear out fast while just cruising around town or on the highway. says they also have almost a 60degree lean rating...they will hopefully be in within the next few days, if you still havent bought anything ill let ya know how they are.

pilot road 2 or Dunlop road smart. road smarts are way cheap and will last a long time. I have a loacl yamaha dealer that sell them for 200 front and rear

What are the factory tire sizes?

I ran into a guy who claimed to be a bike mechanic who told me my tires were wrong type and size for my Cyclone!?!? I found 2 sources on the internet that match my tires and 1 that agrees with him.

My bike currently has Dunlop Sportmax in 120/70/zr17 front and 170/60/zr17 rear. The rear tire has 4/32" and front has 3/32".

The guy last night said I my front tire is more of a touring tire and my back tire should be 160/60/zr17.

It's amazing how many "Experts" you encounter in the 7/11 parking lot these days.
