Anyone bought directly from these guys? I am thinking of ordering from them, I just want to make sure they are good to deal with and have good product. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hahah. I think what RJ means to say is that there have been a variety of threads in the last few months asking the same question. The search feature, though frequently overwhelming, will help you find those reviews.

You get what you pay for. You buy cheap carbon, you get cheap carbon.

I tried the search function and it came up with a ton of non related posts. Is it really cheap carbon fiber? And what constitutes cheap carbon? Bad fit? Premature fading/yellowing? I just can't bring myself to pay $400 for the asb air box cover.

Low density weaves(not tightly woven), bad weave patterns(imperfections) thin weave, lots of epoxy to give the smooth look, much heavier than a quality CF, usually not vacuumed to pull as much resin out as possible (makes it lighter and if proper CF is used stronger).

Just a few things cheaper CF is about. Not o mention you almost always need to trim areas or drill out holes since they are off a little or just in the wrong spot.[smirk]

I have a MDI carbon chin fairing. You can tell its not great quality, but i have had it for 9 months without any problems. No fading, no cracking etc...

sorry its not a great pic of it, but its all i have right now.

I had a MDI carbon left side scoop and oil cooler scoop on my xb9r for years and never had a problem. I did have to modify it to make it fit correctly. But it never yellow and it always looked great.

Im planning to buy fro eastcarbon on eBay...stuff looks better and they have 100% positive feedback.
