Tried contacting you though messages on here, and email from your website.
Which the email from your website does not work, says its an invalid email.
I'm wanting to purchase the XB chin bracket kit. Wanting to know if you can
do any better than $35 shipping. Id be willing to give $10 for shipping which
is more than a flat rate box cost to ship. Can pay pal you the money soon
as you give me a valid email. You can PM me if you get this.

Thanks,

Sorry to anyone if this is an improper way to contact someone. I have been
trying for over a week or more to get in contact.

I dont like this recent trend going on of people wanting everything at cost and being cheap. Cheap on repairs, cheap on exhausts, cant wait for parts prices to sky rocket... lots of bikes will be for sale

mprc911, is your name Marcus? If so, I did reply earlier this week and got another message yesterday that I haven't replied to yet. I've been a bit busy.

350 bucks for a downpipe on a $100 muffler is nuts anyway.

Not to be a jerk, but go build your own if it's that easy. Sure, the 11148 muffler is $100. Cut off both ends square, put on new outlets. Spend the money on a tig welder, gas to feed it, filler rod, electric to run it, etc. When you get done spending all that money, come back and tell me how much it REALLY cost you. My last welder was $4000 and it was nowhere near the top of the line model. Oh yeah, go buy a band saw while you're at it. Hmm, last one of those was about $2k and I got it used at 10 years old. Maybe an air compressor as well? Get materials to make it all, cut everything, build it to fit, THEN build a fixture to replicate it. Suddenly not looking all that cheap now, is it?

And that's not including the man hours it took you to fabricate everything. Someone obviously doesn't know what they are talking about. If you look at the price for the same part anywhere else you will see that D_adams is very competitive with his pricing and makes all around good quality products. If you think you do it better or get it for less than go for it. I'm sure even Adams would love to see what you came up with. You pay to play in the world of Buells.

Dean makes only quality stuff and if you ask me to say you will only pay so much you need to go some where else. Try to make it yourself. The nerve of some people. That is like you taking your bike to a dealer and saying your only going to pay so much they will tell you to hit the road.

GET UM!!! I never had the money for one of Deans exhausts, but that is because I am cheap, not because they are not worth it.

I work for a company who makes hundreds of thousands shipping every year, we factor it into our pricing. Want cheaper shipping? Price goes up. Sorry, it is annoying. But that is the way it is.

I was waiting for this to happen. Kids these days want everything for nothing and have no appreciation for anything hand crafted.
This thread was totally started in bad taste. Look up prices for a full system for ANY current sport bike. You're looking at 1k. EASY. And that's some mass produced stuff that every squid on the street has.
I've worked as a welder for years. It takes A TON OF MAN HOURS to perfect the craft. And Deans welds are effing beautiful!
Don't like his prices, contact jardine and buy their "affordable" product. You'll be repacking your muffler within a year, and that's if you discover it coming apart before you lose the end cap. Oh yeah and you'll be trying to figure out what to do with the broken "affordable" chin spoiler bracket. Haven't known of one that hasn't snapped at one of the welds. I believe this is the whole reason why Dean started producing a QUALITY product in the first place.
I'm saving up for a full system from Dean. I'll be glad to pay his asking price since I know the work that goes into producing such a great quality system.
Oh and Dean, you forgot to mention the countless hours and hundred of dollars you spent dyno tuning your systems.
Ugh, some kids have no respect!

I don't even want to go there, but I just spent $1285 for the race ecm and wideband setup on my 1190. It's installed (took a few hours) but I haven't even gotten close to a dyno with it yet. I suspect it will take several sessions to get it dialed in where I want it.

I don't really want to be that guy, but...

Mr. Adams: I expressed my opinion, albeit uninformed, about your product. However, I am in the market for a better than factory exhaust for my Buell. Had there been more description of the work you put into this exhaust on your site I may not have voiced an opinion. It's actually a shame you couldn't have been more businessman-like and just simply explained why your product was superior. Now, I'm not likely to spend my money on your part--the shame is on me as it looks (after being educated) to be a great product. Keep up the good work.

...Kids coming up these days(not saying all) just don't have the work ethics that some of us old timers have...

As far as you two dicks are concerned: For the record I am a 37 year old father of three and a college educated career tradesman who happens to be one of the top producing crew leaders in the company I work for. But, as stated earlier I don't want to be that guy so I offer my apology for hurting your feelings doing exactly what makes the United States a decent place to live: freely and openly stating my opinion.

Yep...I'm a dick. Far be it from me to defend the work of a sponsor and member of our forum. I am glad that you enjoy what makes the United States a decent place to live: freely and openly stating your opinion. I am an ex service member that fought for you to enjoy these freedoms. Enjoy your bike, we are not bashing you or anyone else. Use the knowledge that can be gained from members on the forum.

Call me what you will. I formed an opinion without knowing exactly who I was addressing. A blanket statement of sorts. To you I apologize. I misjudged your chronological age.
But please, as it has already been said, when dealing with ANYTHING Buell related save yourself time, money and possibly embarrassment by doing your research.

So whatever. I appreciate your both senior members and respect your defending Mr. Adams. Like they say hindsight is 20/20. I'll keep my opinion to myself unless asked.

No my names Matt, and I have had no response man. Just to clear all up before someone wants to call me cheap. I have nor had any problems paying the $75 for the parts, but I ship a lot of stuff. I know what shipping cost, and it isn't $35.

Not sure why the emails are getting bounced, I get enquiries pretty much daily. If you live in the US, it's just a flat $75 shipped for the part, I don't know where the extra $35 is coming from. Shipping to Canada (or anywhere else for that matter), yeah, it's more.

If all else fails, email me direct at [email protected]
