I finally got my Micron back from being ceramic coated - the clamps weren't done but I'm hoping that the touch of a shine looks good against the black headers. I'm hoping to get everything installed in the next couple of weeks.

Anyone have any tips beyond what's included in the documentation? I'm missing the large band-clamp but have read that the existing T-straps are stronger anyways. Is there a good/better exhaust gasket that I should be picking up or will any shop carry a generic version?

Any info would be appreciated! I'll move onto the ECMSpy tuning questions once I'm back up and running (and once I pick up a cable)

Thanks!

Please, Hummer, provide a PDF/scan of that "documentation"?
My beloved XB12 came to me with Micron system installed.
Added pair of t-bolt clamps; replaced gaskets at head w/ Screamin Eagle; re-fit using exhaust rated RTV gasket sealer at slip joints; and shelved "chin" body-work.
Look at this pic of the exhaust-to-head gaskets found installed beside new (ride conservatively: didn't notice gasket change):

hey hummer,

it's a good thing the clamps are not done, it would peal off anyways.
use the strap of the original, it's better and works just fine.

otherwise, nothing special to report, enjoy the exhaust, you'll have fun with it! ;)

Thanks LeFox - I was hoping you'd chime in! I had my suspicions about the clamps; I'm glad you confirmed them.

aptbldr - PM me your email addy and I'll just send you the PDF.
