Mileage?

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

on my very bolt on heavy xb9 I get 46 very regularly and I have a hard time getting out of the trottle

I did see 60 on a long trip but have also seen as low as 35 when I flog the crap out of it for an entire tank, I'm not sure if the front tire was ever down for 90 miles [confused]

for reference I have a D&D race ECM open airbox Buell race filter and breather re-route

i think the advertised milage on anything is BS sales pitch. i'm on a 12 no where near the estimated milage, not a fatty run about 190, i am 6'2" so i do create some aero issues. have just over 2000 miles on th ebike and i thing the engine is doing better. road friday heading north (with the wind) and notice the rpm's around 4200...same stretch of road heading south same speed about 200-300 rpm less. logged about 120 miles and not sure but engine heat may have helped. lower rpm = better milage

im 5'5'' and bout 170 and always around the 120 mi a tank range beatin it or cruisin. just hope it does get better after break in

what is this mpg you all speak of??? [confused]
is this some type of mod?
must I too be aware of this mpg to ride better?
Can I get one in black?
Is it the same as mph and kph?
:D

great point delta one , everyone and every bike is different ,different mods different engines, weight and different aerodynamics all makes a difference.
which means different milage.[up]

too make everyone happy
03 9S with 5.8k miles...K&N, Hawk pipe & ECM, Iriduim plugs from hd (IDK 7bucks), Mobil 1 20w-50, air pressure idk laying down on the box with my helmet on and stock mirrors driving on a scale of 1-10 6 on agressive 10being Bat outta hell and a slight kansas breeze of 12-39+ MPH traviling an AVG 72.3 MPH on HIGHWAY i get around 57mpG ...OH i have stock left scoop and Uly R and a guardian bell inbetween my forks iam 5'10" 170lbs 17yrld ...I think i covered all the variables:D

My wife and I ride an 06 Uly and average(6.43 L/ 100km) 36 mpg at an average of (110 to 120km/h) 68 to 75 mph, if we don't get caught. Probably would be better if we stuck to (100km/h) 60 mph as posted.;)

I've gotten as good as 65mpg at 65mph on flat ground, but on trips going on inclines and at a faster pace normally, I get around 50-55mpg. Keep in mind I only weigh 150 lbs

Everybody needs to list what year their bike is. With the mpg figures. I know that there has been some discussion on the ddfi2 fuel injection vs ddfi3. I believe the ddfi3 gives more fuel helps the bike run smoother than the old ddfi2. But ddfi2 seems to get better mileage. Of course driving habits play a part in that equation. This what I would like to see. Pre 2008 is ddfi2. I get no better than 42mpg 09 xb12r.

I'm heavy on the throttle, half in town, half highway, I'm 140lbs, 03 xb9s, avg 55 mpg with k&n, custom pipe, and race ECM.
