If I am not at the front of the intersection at a red, I lane split right in between the cars and rotate over to the side of the bike watching behind me until traffic piles up a bit.. Ive done it right in front of cops and they just watch me for a second and look away.. they know the deal or figure it out after a second or two.. no problems in Florida with that.

have only had one or two people run up behind me on the freeway but they can go around.. anyone who lives in Florida can back me up on this too.. on I4 around Orlando. all those cars are going 80mph in a 70 zone and the cops are speeding right along with you.. if you wanna get on I4 you better get ready to GO FAST, they aren't enforcing speed limits until you break 90mph and these idiots here don't know how to drive, they are all over the place.. I try to avoid I4 at all costs!! Especially right around Orlando.. "death trap"!

when you guys say lane splitting do you mean you go between two cars to the front of the line at a light? why the hell would you do this? you guys, too, give motorcyclists a bad name.

I do agree about I4. Keep up with the pace, get run over, or don't get on the highway...

no I just go in between the last cars and stay there.. let the cars pile up behind me until its safe.. cops don't mind that.. if I went up to the front they might so I just hang were I was..

I don't know.. I was riding today paying attention to what I do when I ride and I guess I do use those mirrors more than I thought I did.. I think Ill leave em.

HAHAHA

wow, ya...never going to live this down.

ok..since gloom has made his decision I guess its ok to finally derail this bitch, soo the story here is that I got my bike a few weeks ago, had a jardine muffler on it, I didn't care for it, found a dude that would trade me his oe muffler for mine...cool,

Problem here is though I didn't have the front hanger mount to hang it properly, so I decided to make my own with some aluminum, worked great, for a few days, morning of the ride I noticed that the clamp totally broke both pieces of aluminum and was only hanging on with one back hose clamp. I hoped it would last the day. It didn't, deep into the ocala national forest at about 70mph and with 3-4 victims opps I mean buddies behind me traveling just as fast, soon saw a large black metal projectile of death coming there way. Luckily due too there quick thinking and as well as buell bikes known for there nimbleness and braking ability prolly saved the day.

Sad thing is I had the front mount in the mail, I was just waiting for it to be delivered. anyway, next ride, we should be safe (prolly) ;)

peace
