hmm suspension bible huh nice man thanks ill look into this one for sure adn update ya.

well im on winter break now till january. this last semester was a tuff one but i made it thru. one more semester left and im done. tool costs so far have been insane even with the 50% student discount. i did luck out a get me a decent snap on tool box for 4 bucks at a yard sale. still no luck finding any work other then shade tree shit that i can handle at home. all the shops local say not till march or so then coem back and talk about work. had some unexpected money woes come up so now im not in a positions to afford to open a shop right now and for who knows how long.

on the bright side my buell adn my triumph stays a purring like a cat adn i feel better about taking the machines to the limits when need be.

oh btw, when gettin ym suspension bible online i found some other books of serious interest. they all were from motorbooks. i see if i can find a good link to check them out. wiring and diagnostics one is worth gold imo.

not that anyone is itching at the bit to know but..............i have completed my motorcycle mechanics school and got hired on at a harley dealership as shop bitch. i dont know what the mechanics there know about buells yet but i know that that shop will have at least one person that knows them for sure now. thanks for those of you that gave me advise along the way.

For what its worth concerning techs either two wheel for four...

I too was a uti student, having turned wrenches on bikes since I was 13 in motorcross.. I left a military and government job to pursue a career with Porsche cars. Got perfect grades, all the certs any tech could want, went to school for Porsche and left one yr after I started.

In my honest opinion, have a regular job that pays you enough to enjoy fun stuff like these bikes. The dealers fight with the manufactures about everything. The tech comes out on the bottom, because neither the dealers or the factory will take a hit. But the tech has just about no say..

The techs both bikes and cars that make really good money either, put out really crappy work, just plain out don't due the work, or the service advisers wayyy overcharge things.. Im too honest a guy to let any of it slide.

Its a tough field to due what you love, make customers truly happy and take good care the machines. And make a living.....
