Anyone have input on front stands, I am looking at getting some spooled sliders to be able to use that style on the rear but am having trouble deciding on a front stand. Is a bike stable enough on front fork stands or is a triple tree stand the better way to go? Also does anyone use a spooled type lift on the front, and how is that working? thanks for the feedback.

I have the HF rear wheel stand (it was a gift) and I have the front wheel adapter for it too. It works great if you're on a budget. An please anyone don't make this a HF bashing thread. It was a gift and it works great. No complaints with it so far. It's the black one that sells for 29.99 normally 39.99 for reference

i have the harbor freight stand also and it works amazing, but i can't find the adapter for the front so if you could link to that i would appreciate it.

I bought a triple tree stand from Amazon for about $60+ bucks. Was a red (off brand) one, and has worked without fail.

The triple tree stand is what you want for the front. Other may work, but this is the best way. This is the main reason we don't offer front spooled sliders. ;)

I bought some spools off ebay and then made my own spindle mounts for them for the front and rear spindles.
Then I got hold of a couple of HF stands (a mate didnt need them after upgrading) and made some new spool cradles for them as the ones that came with them where a bit wobbley. I also fitted some large flat roller skate wheels to stabalise the whole lot as the old wheels where curved and made a pivot point for the frame to twist on.
After those up grades (which for me where cheap to do) I now have a very stable pair of paddock stands for front and rear of my XB12ss. So far my pride n joy has sat on them safe and sound for a couple of months now waiting for the weather to make its mind up :D

Should check out T-rex for 200 you get Pitbull quality stands front and rear.

Keep an eye out on Craigslist for some Pitbull stands. They pop up time to time. You can save some cash that way. I bought a set of front & back for $250 and it was 3 miles from my house.
