Motorcycle Wave

I wave at everyone and nod if I cant use my hand, it is part of riding a motorcycle imo. Most Harley riders around my way dont wave, most if not all sport bikes wave.

Get this if it is too much work to throw your hand to the side.

If I'm not riding hard, I'll throw the wave out to anyone willing to receive it. It really is just an acknowledgment of someone that understands. Can't count how many times I've been out on the bike or in the Z or in the truck and have stopped to help somebody out.

It's just what good people do.

I have always laughed at the biker waving and attitude. I enjoy all bikes and I wave to all I pass because it is a passion of mine. When you pass typically cruisers sometimes and they go out of their way to deny to give acknowledgement you wonder why. A guy I work with who is middle aged, rides a dyna low rider, he has rode his entire life, and when he was younger he rode year round 10,000+ a year told me something I found odd. He said he doesn't wave to anyone because the new motorcycle attitude is not about comradely. If you were broke down no one would care is his thought but his f-you attitude is what I see wrong here.

I ride early spring though late fall/ early winter as much as I can and I get rained on, I sometimes freeze, and other-times I sweat but it's all in the enjoyment of 2 wheels. It's a little hard to give respect to those who only ride when conditions are perfect for shorts and a tank top and the bar hopping individuals. I can appreciate seeing other people on the road doing the same thing I enjoy and that's why I wave.
