I don't have a stand for my bike so i just put a few pieces of plywood sandwiched over some insulation material i pillaged from work down on the garage floor and park the bike on it. I think the main thing is to just get the tires off the cold flooring so it won't develop weak spots.

But great video Dave you totally reminded me to go seal up some of the openings to avoid critters housing... [up]

sorry if its a dumb question.. Should I throw a new filter on it to for winter storage, or would just making sure all the oil is out be good..

I would put a new filter in for any oil. You won't need to change the oil again after storage, just get on and ride.

I just take everything off and use the time to modify my bike.

Well ok this year I have been slacking quite a bit but I made some progress today. Now I have this in the corner and a big pile of parts I need to bring to the powder coating shop.

I heard oil breaks down and separates in the motor if it sits a long time..example:like over winter and must be changed before and especially after storage...is it true dave? I also used your videos for my winter storage and changed the oil with synthetic and a new k&n filter before winter...i must say they are very helpful...hopefully no more slip ups with the fake fuel stabilizer :D
