Motorcycling certainties

If you need to check your tire pressure, the valve stems will always be in the wrong place.

If you don't wear gloves, the biggest bug will slam right into your knuckles causing stinging, goose bumping pain, just when you reach the fastest part of your journey.

If you ride it, it will cost you $. If you don't ride it, it will cost you more.

If you stop next to that hottie in the convertible, her hotness is directly proportional to you stalling the bike. +2 if you're not wearing a helmet. +10 if a buddy is watching.

A bike that runs perfectly will not start if you're trying to sell it.

the closer you are to the front of the pack, the more likely you are to lowside

The part that came in the mail you just had to loosely slap on to see how it "looked" and swore you would tighten it down and install it correctly before your next ride....YOU DIDN'T and it flies off and you can't find it on the road after back tracking...

the more you paid for those new mirrors. the quicker you will lose them in a parking lot drop... and the more likely they are only sold in pairs

If the shop said it would be a cheap easy fix, it won't....If your wife says it's ok to ride all day, it's not.... If you think your faster than your bike, remember that when it skids past you as your helmet bounces off the ground and the asphalt tears through every layer your wearing on the day you decided leather wasn't necessary!

If the "driveway temperature" says you don't need to bring that jacket liner, 20 minutes away from the house you'll wish you'd packed it.

if you put on a new drive belt, it will never track right the first time
if you just put in new rear wheel bearings the front will fail tomorrow
if you just changed the passcode on the instrument cluster it will fail tomorrow
