Hello everyone.

I have decided to start my own thread ;) That way If i feel like telling you all something random or dumb I can do so here. I feel like a dip **** starting a new thread every time I can't find an answer to a question.

I figured I would sorrta make it my little happy place to post things and such.

Anyways, got both tha babies out today ;) Of course the buell got more ride time but today made me remember why I love the K so much. I had been considering getting rid of it for a CR but decided that I already have the perfect combo going on.. so for now.. things will stay the way they are.

I had the first big bug spat on my visor of the season today! Yayy!

Heres a shot of them today after I cleaned em up a little.

Feel free to post all the random crap here! =)

That reminds me of when me and my buddy were riding one day. He had a half dome on and a big ol beard, there must have been 6 million bugs on my visor. When we got to where we were going his beard doubled in size from the amount of crap in it (eeewwww).

I only had my K1200R for 7 1/2 months before coming back to Buell. Wasn't crazy about the looks but the performance, HOLY CRAP! that thing was a beast , but it just didn't bring out the fun as much as my Buells do .IMHO

I agree WALLS, I love the looks of my xb compared to the bmw. Its funny, I when I opened the pic above I was like wow look how different the fork rake is. I have more fun when I ride the xb, I think of it as sort of a hooligan bike.. so i must ride it like one! Its quite a contrast riding the two on the same day, the buell redlines at like 6,700 or whatever and the k redlines at 12.5 or 13 haha. Still not as comfortable in aggressive cornering on the xb as i am on the K tho.

I do prefer the K on longer trips tho. Gotta love that sixth gear.

Taking the buell to New Castle HD and Buell tomorrow to have a rocker leak fixed under warranty. They're doing it same day so i wont have to leave it long. They still have a really good buell guy there so i schedule with him only.

what year was your k? I believe after 06 they stopped bringing them to the states, correct me if i am wrong.

Mine was an 06 , a yellow one. It took a while to get used to that front suspension coming from a standard fork set up. It was a scary quick bike as well refined compared with the XBs but I just could never get into it so i traded it in for another XB12SS , which was what I traded in on it. I just had the rocker seals replaced under extended warranty on my STT with 12,000 miles.

Mine is an STT as well. 07 with about 9,500 on the clock. Yea, the suspension set up on the front of the K is odd, feels a lot diff. than anything else. Its cool to be able to adjust it with the push of a button tho ;) I've decided heated grips are on the to do list for the buell as well, cause i ride until the snow falls.

i like the yellow k's . I almost went with all black, kinda wish i would have, but got a great deal on the one I got and it was brand new.

I was just happy to find an STT, I am a lil taller so it was a TT, ss or no buell. Now I want a CR too haha

Yea , the 1125 came out when I had my BMW and I took one out on a demo and was pissed because the 1125 had the same power as my K but was lighter and cheaper .but I ended up going back to the XB , I really enjoy the simplicity of the XB line and they are AWSOME in the turns . About 3 monthe ago I almost purchased a K1300S , really slick bike but I backed out at the last minute. The refinements over the K1200 are great.

The bimmer looks so much longer! The front suspension setup looks weird from what I can tell - haven't really followed BMW's bike lineup at all.

that K looks like it would be comfy for the long hauls...
[up]
but damn if your XB does not look like its getting ready to freak the **** out on the K!

get all crazy like in the corners and mock it..'dance for me bitch, dance!'
the K justs huddles in the corners saying 'thats not how I roll'
:D

haha yea, the xb prolly gets pissed when i ride the K but hey.. I gotta give both some love.

@WALLSXB. I do love the 1125's but from the few that I have test rode they obviously have more low end grunt but nowhere near as fast IMO. I love the wind up, hit around 8000 rmp and u better hold on or your ass is flyin! I've rode the 1300s and loved it, but the k is paid off so i am not trying to deal with another BMW payment HAHA that **** was terrible. Next bike will be an 1125 for sure tho. I really wanna find another TL1000 as well, had one in highschool.. plastered a deer at 65 with it... that was the end of that!

Its like a whole wheel longer haha.

@buddah^

the bmw actually handles really well, I dont have to many issues runnin circles around the commi bikes haha

How does the front fork setup work on the BMW? I see it has a coil in the front? I cant find a decent shot of the front susp. setup.

I can see here on this 1300 it is sort of like a swing arm.

Yea i've never thought of it that way but I guess it is sort of like a swing arm. I dont really know where to find more info about specifics, i could take a few pics of how its connected and whatnot ;) I know one thing, its a completely diff. feel than a traditional fork.

One thing I wanna do asap on the K is something with the exhaust.. hate having that big **** can on there. Only kept it cause of warranty ****.

Could you just cut it down? A friend cut about 8" out off the end of his and just put the end cap back on, sounded better (deeper tone) and looked much better with even the trimmed end.

It really is a different sensation with the BMW setup. It looks cool when your going down the road and you look down in front of the fuel tank and see the suspension pieces bouncing but the bike was rolling smoothly. It's really hard to describe what makes the ride different , it's one of those things you have to try yourself . [smirk]

Yeah I was gonna say how I Like to look down at it when I'm cruising down the road.
They just opened the shop door and I could see my buell in 50 pieces. Makes me nervous! Ha.
Someone else is here on a red lighting. Wonder if its someone on the forum.

well, got my rocker leak fixed with not problems and everything good =)

they have a couple of awesome bikes on display upstairs.. figured I'd share!
