so i was out riding today, it was hot as hell. probably around 97 or more, and on my way home after about 80 miles my bike started to sputter and misfire and refuse to accelerate. limped off the road to some shade shut it off and let it cool down. sat there for 15 minutes or so, cranked it up everything seemed fine. hopped on and rode off. about a mile down the road it did it again. pulled off and repeated above. another mile down the road it happened again. pulled off again and the bike died while coasting to a stop. waited 10-15 to crank on it. but no luck. upon switching to run, the fuel pump does not come on. also the little red engine light that normally comes on till the bike fires, does not come on(or it flashes for a split sec and goes off). checked fuses, all seem fine. put it on the battery charger and then tried to connect to ECMspy. and now for some reason i can't get com. which iv never had a problem with before.

so what yall got? i got nothin...

The little gremlins living in your engine decided they need more space, so you cant ride anymore.

dude you aint lying. i also need a new rear rim and figure out whats going on with my forks.

sounds like a similar issue i had so ill through this out there. check to see where the terminals are on your battery, if your seat is rubbing on them, and you hit a bump it could cause your battery to short from the metal on the seat connecting with the terminal. hopefully thats your problem because all you need to do is move the battery tray. If not, good luck

Sometimes even though a battery might read fully charged, the capacity of it will be next to nil. Might be as simple as replacing the battery.

This happened to me a couple months ago. It ended up that the fuel pump leads on the fuel pump carrier in the frame wore through ever so slightly. It was just enough to ground the pump out, and not blow a fuse. Check the electrical, and if you don't find anything, you might end up pulling the pump.

ignition relay. lol feel like an idiot. could have fixed it with out putting my bike on the trailer.
