so today i finally change my tires back to pirellis and wanted to let people know how the Q2's preformed with my riding and tire wear.
normally i will ride a tire down till it shows cord but i was not able to safely do it with the Q2's. i know that sounded stupid but ill explain why..
i'll start from the beginning i put new Q2's on my buell at around 6500-6600 mile and they came off at 7823 miles so i got roughly 1300 miles out of the tires.
the first thing i noticed was the steep shoulder on the rear tire. so on real aggressive lean angels the rear would feel like it would drop out from underneath me. so with my riding style it messed with confidence alot, so i would drift a lot more then i normally would which scrubbed the sides down a whole lot faster. it also slowed my turn exit speed down a lot because a would have more tire spin which by the way looks cool but does get old quick.
the rear did surprising wear even all the way around from side to side. so here is what the tire looks like.

you will also notice that the side stared to shred and pull apart.

now the front tire on the other hand wore nicely and and was sticky and there never was a time when i thought the front was going to tuck under on me. now that might be because i was letting the back slide more. but here is the front.

that's my short review. in a nut shell would i buy them again "NO" will they work for a lot of other buellers yes.

I have actually felt pretty comfortable with the Q2. Seems as if there is more tire surface area on the ground when leaned over with the high profile. Thanks for the review. Is that first pic older than the second? Looks to have a bit more tread on the left side.[cool]

Those new tires look like the Pirelli Diablo Supersport. Have you run them before?

I run them currently the only thing I dont like about them is the rear breaks loose and wont hold the ground on a hard downshift if its slightly cooler temps (70F and lower its usually 90+ down here in the south). I will have to say I do have 6500 miles on them and still got plenty of tread left maybe another 1k or 2k before changing but I may change them out before then. Im getting sick and tired of coming into corners hard and having the ass end wiggle just before a turn.

I adjusted my rebound to compensate for the wheel spin. At first I was flat tracking it to lock.

And the pictures were taken at the same time. In my back yard playground there is two nice high speed double apex left handers.

Huh never thought about adjusting my suspension to compensate. Did you add or remove rebound to compensate?

The Q2 did the same to me... so I changed to a Metzeler Racetec K3. I have to admit that I rode the Q2 quite hard during a 3000 km trip over 3 week. The Metzeler has as well better grip when its wet
