The nine hour drive was definitely worth it. She has 5,500 miles on her and the full luggage set up. Night and day from my firebolt but going to be amazing for the long rides. Needs some TLC on the headers and a better muffler. Much too quiet for my taste.

I have an '09 too. Do you know if we have dual or triple bearings in the rear wheel? I forgot to ask my mechanic to check when he changed the rear tire. I know '10's had the three bearing wheels. Anyway, LOVE my bike. Bought with 08 miles and now have about 8,000 in less than two years. I love the fact that it's not a well known bike and people just freak when they hear me start my "crotch rocket" and hear a snarling sportster engine. I added the D&D mufflers (online for $300) and EBR racing module ($300). Never even heard the original muffler. I added bar end weights ($75) and rubber thigh grabber to tank and frame ($125). Looks and works great. Also just put on an adjustable cruise control ($35) Only problem is I just tried to change my plugs and gave up. Bringing it to my mechanic. I don't have the patience for the ordeal, and it is an ordeal. I also own a 96 Sportster Sport that I've put about $3,500 in extras into, a '99 Virago 1100 and an '01 Dyna Superglide Sport. Like all of them but am riding the Buell more than any of these.

On the 09 Uly XB12X the 3 bearing rear wheel came with a different axle and a thin spacer on the disk brake side. I always check to make sure the thin spacer is on there when I get tire work done, and always remind the tire shop it is there. Not sure if that is the same for the other models, but the original 2 bearing axle had no spacers, or at least I do not have them?

Looks like the one I had all set up to buy from a guy in Oklahoma. Oddly enough, exact same mileage. That was probably the only time I had actually agreed on a price and had a pickup date set for the next weekend since he wouldn't let me show up late on Sunday to get it. Texted to confirm on Tuesday, prick sold it out from under me.

Looked again at your pics, it's not the same bike. The one I was looking at had the ztl2 front caliper.

I ended up picking up a different one last month for considerably less $$. No hard bags, needed a bunch of normal maintenance stuff done (tires, bearings, etc.) and obviously a new exhaust for it. Not my color of choice, but for the price and mileage, I thought it was a good enough deal to go ahead and get it.

Thanks for the compliment Tbone, my uly is my road horse, I ride it on every long highway trip I can. Sorry about the bad deal on the other bike Dean, I like to think that karma has a way of getting back at people like that. Glad you ended up with a bike you are happy with.

PJ where did you find the D&D for $200 and the EBR ECM for $300?

Thanks
