I never said I was the brightest crayon in the box... but ill still be able to dress my own wounds with my gloved hands!!!!

regarding warm-up... a very competent Buell salesman/tech/track rider/enthusiast instructed me to warm up for ~5min every time when i bought the bike new. i've followed that advice for ~16K miles, summer or winter, without issue and never have experienced the crap running conditions so many complain about. do as you want, but for an air/oil cooled bike, it only makes sense. especially one with all the sensors, learning features, etc. that the Buell XBs have.

if you have access to ECMSpy (08+ not supported), watch how long it takes for the cold start enrichment to drop some time. or watch how long it takes the motor to get up to temp. it will seem like forever.

regarding spark plugs, i agree the NGK 9 series Iridiums (DCPR9EIX) are superior. virtually foul proof.

Trevor, my hubby and I live in DFW and bought our bike about an hour and a half away in Corinth, TX. If your willing to drive about 3 hours from OKC I'd highly recomend them. They've been absolutely wonderful to us since we purchased my husbands '08 firebolt there. It's American Eagle Harley Davidson Buell and their phone # is 940-498-5000 ask for Ronnie in service he can help you out with just about anything you need as well as service the bike while you wait and answer any questions you might have over the phone. :D

Trevor, the guys in Stillwater mean well but I have not had very good luck with them. The biggest problem is getting the right parts out of those guys, I wouldn't imagine how there service department is but have never used them. If you need any help I live in Choctaw and have some friends that are pretty good with HD engines among other things.

Thanks guys for your help... I was told that I don't have to get any type of service work done for like 5000 miles, so thats great news, but I will check out the other dealerships... MrOrange, is there any kind of riding club around the area??? I unfortunately will not be pulling my bike out in the cold, I just got back from being deployed in the desert, and dont like any sort of cold weather, it kills me...lol.
