yeah I had to order those, the last owner had standard black ones off a S... you gotta wait about a month for those plastics.. and they are high too.., fly screen is 75 and the air box is like 240... worth it though, they make that bike.

Love the gear. Just make sure you dont scratch the air box with that belt buckle :)
Great video. Wished you had fired it up. Have the same exhaust and mine is getting louder by the week, a comparison would have been great

Yeah Im going to figure out a real cool tank protector.. IM not that worried about it though. I got a orbital buffer I can touch stuff up with.

That jardine was re-packed by the guy who traded it to me.. I buffed that out too. Its not that loud and I got the rear baffle in it for right now. Works pretty good with the stock fuel map. I got rivets and rivet gun, everything I need to maintain that muffler.. Im not too worried about it.

The Gear is my own concept,, its a mixture of cruiser, sport and Mad Max.. Im doing it the weird, "Buell way". Its now battle tested, I went down in that same set-up a few months back and I came out pretty good for summer-wear. Only thing I need is to make hip protection. I got my own leather working tools and Im thinking of making something that looks cool, a mixture of leather and high tech stuff.. shoulder armor also. I think Ill use the replacement armor pads out of the Icon Jackets, kinda riveted into leather. well see, ... Ill base it on proven designs from the past.

Nice bike. Where did you order the airbox cover from? I am looking to change out mine from stock black cover.

Harley dealership... and expect to wait. I waited 26 days. They are made by the same company that makes the windscreens on the R models.. they don't usually have any in stock either. Im pretty sure they make them as they go.

You can buy plastics from lshd1.com cheaper than HD just FYI. It's approx a 2 week lead time and was free shipping over $250 at the time I ordered. I changed from yellow to black plastics and think I only spent about $100-$200 in the end. I sold the old yellows to a member of the forum and bought mostly brand new black plastics. I did buy the chin fairing used as it was crazy expensive to get new.

The idea for the gear was that I wanted something that would actually work on one hand but also something that you could walk around in that looks cool... and it had to work in Florida's summers. It ended up looking like something out of "Riddick"

from what I saw on the Harley price sheet at my dealership, the clear plastics were almost TWICE the price of solid plastics. The Harley dealer price for most Buell stuff at my dealership is real low, even lower than online prices Ive been seeing most of the time. Now is the time to own a XB if you live near a good dealer, I think they are trying to sell off as many Buell parts as possible.

I guess the good dealer is the key part there. Just last week I ordered two piston ring sets and some wrist pin retaining clips from my local dealer, they told me it would be a 1-1.5 week wait and cost around $75+tax. I needed them so I said "Okay that's fine." I called this Wednesday and they hadn't even placed the order yet! Canceled it and went to LSHD1 (after I spent a while finding the parts numbers). It came out to $39+9.99 shipping for everything. [cool]

oh shit, yeah fuck that.. my guys check if they have it in stock and if not I see them go right on the computer, find the price and order it.. usually only a 3 day wait. Prices have been pretty low so far for me. Lower than online prices Ive seen...or the same but no shipping cost

Just so you know gloom snrusnak is local too so Seminole is his local dealer too.

I've always been able to find parts cheaper online than from Seminole but a lot of times convenience is worth the extra money.

So now that you have saddle time on a 9 & a 12, and at the risk of starting a posting war, what's your impression of the difference?
