Thought i would say hi since i am pretty new to the Buell scene. This old girl as pretty neglected. It started life as a 2007 xb12ss. I am slowly sorting out all the mechanical issues before i make her pretty. I have a feeling i am really going to enjoy riding this bike. I also have a GSXR1000. Anyway, hello everyone!

With some white wheels I'd call it...

'Murica

And what did they call this color?

the factory didn't call it anything because somebody prior to you painted the body work. in the XB world there are 3 blues. one is hero transluscent. you'll know it when you see it. other is a bright medium non-metallic blue on a few early firebolts and a slightly darker blue on later firebolts with silver frames and swingarms. yours is neither of those. your mis-matched color combo looks horrible which is a shame because the dark-framed XB's have great color combination styling potential.

Looks like it has the "1125 blue" wheels they had for 2008? Black front fender, fireboat tail, red chin fairing. Yeah she needs some love hermaphroBuell

It's a common mod to put an XBR tail on a XBS like yours has. I had that one in Florida (It's just an S, not an Ss). Chain drive conversion, 1250 kit, RSS, fast:), and beat to crap:upset:.

Body parts are really cheap and easy to pick what ever color you like when you get to that point. Enjoy your new ride!!

Luckily i picked it up for $830, so i have some room to spend on it. I have always been intrigued by Buell, but never wanted to put out a bunch of money for one. Funny thing is the small amount i have rode it was a lot of fun!

$830? Holy. Even if it didn't run it would be worth just staring at it for that price. Man, we get screwed up here in Canada on resale values.

Trust me Leaky, this thing was a basket case. I now have about $2k in it, after mechanical repairs, and have not even started to make it look presentable......
