Hello All!
New to the forum and love it.
Got an interesting scenario with a mysterious oil line on my '03 XB9 Firebolt. (please note this motor is in my custom hardtail chopper) I have looked EVERYWHERE including every service manual i kind find and no diagram even shows it.
It is an oil line that comes out of the top of the crankcase right inbetween the rear cylinder and the starter. It says right on the hose in print "To oil pump". But there is no fitting for it on the oil pump that i can see as they are all hooked up to the oil tank and cooler already. I figured it was a crankcase vent until I noticed it saying right on the hose to oil pump! So stumped.
Heres the p/n printed on the hose if it helps...62352-94B
Thanks guys!

Now that makes sense as the hose looks uncut and is a little over a foot in length, which would be needed to end in that location. I just cant figure out why it says to oil pump on it. Oh well, ill shove a filter on it and try to give her hell! Thanks for the fast response!

sounds like it was replaced by PO with some oil line sitting around.
my 09 had that on it from the factory.buell probably just used whatever hose they had since its only a vent line.

Buell just used the nicely formed XL oil pump hose that was already produced. It is the transmission/primary vent hose and it only needs to route so that water can't easily make its way in.
