need help dont know whats wrong

Ok so i was riding my 04 xb12 firebolt the other day and all of a sudden i came to a stop sign started to go and i couldnt get any acceleratiob out of it i had to really crank up the rpms just to do 30 mph and when i started the bike the next day i realized theres a strang noise comming from the engine

When was the last time you adjusted the clutch?

Check the plugs/plug wires. Check the voltage output of the battery? (at least 12 volts). On bikes from 03-07 check the regulator/stator connections beside the cam cover next to the belt pulley. If the connection plugs look weird the regulator/stator is having issues. Also on 03-07 models you have to have ECMSpy to do a TPS reset.

I just got the bike a month ago so i havnt really adjusted anything yet ..... but ill check those and get back thanks

Yeah check the clutch at the lever. check and see if its fraying. Even 2 or 3 strands will do tthis to you. Happened to me.
