Need Parts

Hey guys Im heading back from Afghanistan in the next week so Im starting to buy parts for the Buell now... Instead of just going and buying everything right away Id like to get some advice and tips for what I should get... My bike is a 2003 XB9R that to my knowledge is completely stock besides the Jardine exhaust...

Right side scoop to keep cool (factory model to save cash)

ecmspy cable to program a race map

k&n filter only after a new map

and a soft clutch

I like suggesting how to spend money!

Also when it comes to money im wanting to keep the total to around 3k or so... so play around for me... the more ideas the better... pictures would be great also so I see what youre talking about... or at least a link to it

Unless you just want to, don't buy a Race ECM. Your's is an '03 and the ECM is easily turned into a Race ECM with ECMSpy. You can get a cable off Xoptiinside.com or Ebay.

3,000! Well, I'd get the Best gear money could buy 1st. Then the bike would be next starting with: Pazzo shorties, Rizoma Signals, Mirrors, Sliders, etc., to name a few. Oh, if you have anything left out of the 3K, let me know, I could use a few things myself. [up]

Steven I didnt realize you could turn the stock '03 ecm into a race one... why can you with the '03 but not others? and what does it involve?

'03-'07 you can. Actually all of them you can but the '08+ are a bit more involved. Just post up a new thread when you get home, the software download is Here, you'll need a cable, and the maps we'll get to then.

Be good to start reading up though and familiarizing yourself with the program. Go to ECMSpy.com and get the latest Version 2.0 manual and study up. Also search on here as well as Buelletinboard.
