neutral light always on

hello, i am having problems with my 05 xb9r. the neutral light is always on in every gear. the bike will start and run fine.

Could this just be a bad neutral indicator. would i have to replace it or can i pull it and clean it?

first i would check and make sure the diode is still in the fuse box
next check the switch
