New buyer advice

Hi everyone,

Thanks for this wonderful forum.

I'm in the market for a new (second hand) bike, and I've fallen in love with a Buell, in particular the XB9S, but have some questions.

As I'm in a out of the way town, I need to go into the a major town to have a look before purchasing so want to narrow my search down.

My question is that as I'm very short (5'6") many bikes are too tall for me. Do you think I'd get me feet on the ground sitting on the Buell?

Also, what are they like on tyre wear?

Maybe look at the XB12SCG, sits much lower than the XB9S.

Depends on what tires are on it and how you ride [smirk]

what i always say to almost everyone who's thinking of buying a buell.

go to a dealership and testride it. it's the only way you'll ever know.

They do make a lower seat which will drop you down an inch. That might also help.
