Ordered a Supertrepp for the 12r. Should be in monday or tuesday. Wanted a little tunability. Will update once I get it on and get to do a little testing.

Currently have buell race can, EBR ecm and open airbox, vent reroute.

All I could find was Tuber pipes but from the looks they resemble Jardine pipes[up]

They don't. It is a universal fit that I am going to use. Summit Racing sells them. I need some tunability and this should do the trick. I am trying to better the power band and move the torque into the topend better.

Should be here today.

I have a bit of experience with ST's on the other 4-cam 45 degree vtwin engines, with carburetors. If it's a 4" style, I'd start with 8-10 discs with the open end cap and try it. Open vs closed cap = 5/6 discs.

Knowing what it takes to tune pipe AND carb AND timing with lots of dyno time and still have it street-able, I wish you the best of luck Keep us informed!
:D

Hm. I'd expect a Supertrapp with the "competition" (open) cap to be way loud.

Way loud? I find them to be fairly quiet until you are really up there rpm-wise. There is no mistaking the sound of one. I currently run 22 discs and a closed cap on the other bike, which suits both of us fairly well. At idle, it's quieter than HD's SE off the shelf crap on an 883 that I'm working on.

Runs like a beast now. A little back pressure does a world of wonders. Hit the dyno Saturday to do final tune.

I was seriously debating on going with a supertrapp also but didn't know how to connect it to the headers! What did you do? Custom elbow? Jardine elbow?

Also, how did you get the chin fairing on?

Thanks

jardine midpipe welded to the supertrapp. Used the brackets, etc. from the jardine setup to mount the chin.

awsome, i might have to go that route when my jardine breake up on me..... reuse the midpipe and brackets!

Thanks for the heads up and please keep us posted on your results with the tunning of the discs.

Is that the 10" or 15" can? Heat on the tire is a non-issue to my eye, lots of room compared to stock. How many discs in there?

Nice job, I'd love to hear it at 5000 WOT in 2nd gear...

:p

Sorry for the lack of updates. Have a liTtle over 200 miles in it and runs great. Using 9 plates. Great bottom end and good mid and top. Also sounds amazing. I would recommend this setup. Per my meter the a\f is spot on through the entire rpm range. Kn filter and ebr Ecu. It is the 15 inch can.
