Hey guys! Please let me know if I'm not allowed to post this here, but I wanted to share my ideas with you. This is my semi-final model of a new fender eliminator for the Buell XBS models, it goes into production the end of this month.

It has two key design features. First, the unit has a relief to allow the brake light to double as a tag light, reducing extra parts/wires and allowing it to comply with local traffic laws. Second, the aluminum structure is sturdy (unlike fiberglass) and incorporates built-in turn signal mounts for a clean look that eliminates any additional modifications.

Let me know what you think! Thanks again.

looks good and the turnlight feature is also good, but...what with the 2 holes?

aftermarket turnlight only need 1 which are much nicer & cleaner than the stock ones that use 2.

also, i would also offer a license plate bracket to fit the tail-piece.

;)

That's bad ass dude, Lefox is right about a license plate bracket. When will they be available and how much do they cost?

Like LeFox said, second turn signal hole has got to go. It would look ugly. If somebody decides to use the factory ones, that little tab can be trimmed off. Very nice looking.

The second hole is to allow for the nub that Buell puts on the light from the factory, so it doesn't vibrate loose. It gets covered up by the light, but I suppose you could just as easily trim off the nub.

On the top view, you can see 4 extra holes. This is for the optional tag bracket -- not everyone wants a tag on all the time, or prefer it mounted to the plastic guards.

Pricing is dependent on how many are produced during each run, realistically in the $150-$200 range. If everything works as planned, they will be available by January 1. :)

This looks great! I have a suggestion. Sell two versions. One would have 1 hole per side for mounting turn signals. The second version would have no holes for those who want to run an integrated LED brake light/turn signal combo. I want to be in the first run :D

Definately looks like quality work. Will it come painted to match the side rails or maybe black to match CityX or unfinished? Either way if you hit that price range I think you'll do very well.

Exactly, there will be 2 color options... silver and black. Both will be color-matched to stock side rails.

...and the extra holes have been removed :)
