Thanks guys! This style is now for sale. I should be able to do a one week turn around once your stock muffler is received (need the parts off it to make the inlet and chin faring mounts). Carbon fiber-bodied pipes are in the works too. Cost for the one you see in the video is $200.
jmcrutch- They'll be real carbon fiber. I should be able to color match as well. I can get hybrid weaves (red, blue, yellow, purple, green) at a higher cost. We should be able to make the carbon versions for under $300/set.
An additional note for pricing. If any of you don't want the chin faring tabs, the price will be $180. I'll still need your stock pipe for the primary tube.
I had actually just ordered the stuff to build on very similar to this when you posted yours. I am gonna change the tips a little. Have you had to do any tuning to the bike after doing this? My stuff will hopefully be here next week and I hope to build mine sometime then. Keep us updated on the issues or suggestions that you have or come across. Also, what did you do for the rear mount or do you just have it hanging there? I can't tell from the pics.
I definitely want to remap to get a smoother band, but I haven't got a CLUE of how to go about it. That and it's my daily ride so I can't afford to mess up the mapping. If there's anyone in the local SoCal area that can remap, PLEASE let me know.
As for the rear mount, there's a connecting plate between the top of the cans that has a single bolt running through it into the factory mount. Just drill a hole in the mount and place a rubber grommet between the pipe and mount. USE A NYLON LOCKNUT ON TOP!!! The revised version will be using tabs connected to the factory muffler mount bolts.
