I just got an '07 XB12Scg. The only reason I know about the "cg" is I broke down the VIN#. What does the "cg" mean?? Can I put a Buell long distance touring saddle on her or am I stuck w/the stock seat??

Thanks in advance.......Kimberley [confused]

First of all welcome aboard and congrats on your purchase[up]. cg stands for “center of gravity”. The cg has a seat hieght that is 2” lower than tbe standard S model. 1” comes from a lower suspension and 1” from a lower seat. No you are not stuck with the stock seat, all of the seats that fit the S and CityX will also fit the cg. Seats for the Ss(long) and STT will not fit. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that it is nice to see more women riding Buells and on this forum. I've been trying to get my wife on here for a while but she's content to just ride and not having to know every little thing about them[smirk].

Thanks for the info......I test rode an '08 Uly yesterday and even though I can now touch the ground, that seating position was the worst I have experienced in 30 years of riding!! Makes me love my cg all the more........:)
