Well, I am new to the forums so I figured I'd drop by and say hello.

I recently got a 2008 XB12R with 2071+ miles on it and I was wondering what the first steps I should take with my bike, I also had a spill on the bike causing me to lay it down, the damage isn't too bad however.

Link: Minimal Damage

I've ordered the parts to fix the bike and they are supposed to be arriving here shortly.

I've been reading the forums on DIY mods and such, one thing I am looking for is getting air intakes put on the bike because the headers get fairly hot after a short amount of riding, I was also looking on how I can lower the bike about an inch or so any one wanna help point me in the right direction for that. Any other suggestions to help improve the performance of my bike would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forum...google search is your friend when looking for something on the forum...site:Buellxb.com and whatever you're looking for.
lots of info here on the forum, take some time and read through the general motorcycle chat, great info for people new to Buell Motorcycles. you're in need of the right hand scoop... large and small section, plus the three screws, can get the header heat shield if you want

Will all the parts from the rider comfort kit fit on the firebolt? I found some for the ulysses but not the firebolt. Could I modify the kit to get it to work?

BambamXB12r Sweet thanks.

djs2k2 I was lucky when I purchased the bike it had them or my bike would be in a lot worse shape.

So I've replaced a few of the broken parts in my bike but now I'm having trouble getting the turn signals to work, I think the flasher is bad. Anyone know which flasher I can replace it with?

FYI, Al from ASB is a forum member...he's like a Buell encyclopedia:D if you guys get to chance to visit SoCal go by the shop, meet him and his wife and go shopping for your parts while there.

When I dropped my bike it landed on its right side, the right turn signal broke so I replaced it with a new oem one. I replaced the flasher with an EP-36 relay and my turn signals still aren't turning on. Any ideas? I'm thinking about taking it to the dealership because I really don't know what else might be causing it cause the wires look fine.
