Hi all, I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm new to Buell but been riding for 7 years now. I had wanted a Buell since 2006, but I ended up buying an 08 Nightster for my first motor. Fast forward to summer of 2014, now with a wife and 3 kids, I got the nod to get my long desired Buell in the form of a 2008 XB12S all stock except D&D exhaust with 4400 miles. It was instantaneous love, and I bonded very quick with the beast. I almost detest riding the Nightster now.
I have lurked the forums since before I bought the bike, but just now decided to join so I could interact with fellow Buellers and look at pictures posted. I love to tinker and DIY so I hope to fit in here.
So far I have the crankcase breather mod, low beam constant on modified the switch. I also swapped to black levers due to the bike falling over while idling on the kickstand, stupid mistake on my part.

Also located in the Fredericksburg area of VA, if anyone wants to hang out or ride.

Thats 2 good moves then, buying a buell and coming on here! Glad you like your bike and trust me the passion can only grow!! And yes they really are a jolly good bunch of chaps on here! Ps i am not American by the way! ha ha ha Welcome! :eagerness:

Welcome Flatout! Good to have you join the nut house! I own a 2007 xb12r. It's currently going through a cafe-disgracer transformation. I too can't help messing with my bike. It's her fault.
Anyway, this forum is great. Just keep your guard up.
Some members can get cranky. Repetitive posts mess with our fear of getting old and suffering from CRS.

Welcome! Sounds like you've got a good start on a well modded buell (love the d&d!)
I can believe what you say about feeling a bit disgusted with your sportster after riding a buell, I jumped on a brand new sportster 48 a while back after having buells for years and was immediately disappointed in the sportster, wouldn't think they'd be that different in fun factor, but wow!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've got thick skin and been around numerous forums.
Only two pics I have accessible right now. First one is the day I picked her up, and second is after its first cleaning in my possession.

Oh trust me, that was one of the first things I bought. Still have to invest in some more hardcore riding gear, especially with the new track soon to open in my "back yard".

GOOD, I fortunately have a world-class race facility in my backyard yard as well..NJMP. I unfortunately had to call a medivac many yrs ago for a guy who went down at a lousy 35mph w that same helmet on, when I got to him he was bleeding from his ears, eye sockets, nose and mouth. I went to the hospital later in the day to see how he was making out and met his wife and asked her to keep me in the loop about his progress. She called three days later asking for my address so she could send my wife and I a fruit basket for my nice gesture when he went down. He died!!!!!
