Heck, I ride mine to work every day. Gives me a reason to look forward to going to work.
i was a little nervous at first.

it was also freaking hot as balls standing in my driveway putting my helmet and gloves on at 7:20AM.

but then i got on the bike and got going, the wind was suprisingly cool.

didn't sweat at all getting to work.

i need to do that more often....

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and kinda/kinda not new to Buell. I first saw one probably three years ago and fell in love with them. I did a lot of web research and read all about the models, company, etc. Reading and dreaming about them is all well and good, but it's no substitute for owning and riding one :D
Just got mine last week and I love it! The header wrap needs to be redone someday, but other than that, I couldn't be happier.

Thanks! Glad to be here around people that share a like passion. Everyone seems really knowledgeable and helpful.

I'm loving the amazing bikes and the pics of all the different landscapes we ride in around the country. Can't wait to get out and experience more of it myself!

Welcome, yep, that bike looks great! That's how I like them. Simple, clean, elegant, and mean! I had an 04 XB12S and it looked almost the same except it was amber and black. The only thing I would change is that wrap. I'd ditch it and polish the headers unless of course they're dented. A lot of guys add the wrap to hide dents. If not, it's very easy to polish the headers. Run through about 4 grits of emery cloth (course, medium, light, and then really fine, like 2000), then metal polish... done.

Hi again :)

Nice that somone liked the bike. The short story is that it's an XB12R engine that comes from a crashedout bike, I made a carb-conversion and added a set of rims from Carrozzeria. I got help from Hogtech here in Sweden with the frame and swingarm. Frontfork and brakes comes from a GSXR1000.

I would like to see some more pics, whats that round thing hanging off the left side[confused]

I'll post som more pix once I get home . . having a vacation :D

Yep, Pagano is right, that´s the oiltank (small one, from Pandemonium Choppers). I molded a "bracket" to the carbonfiber bellypan and mounted it there.

Oakie, I really, really like your bike. To me, that is the ultimate bad-a*s chopper/fighter/custom and makes the stuff "American Choppers" puts out a joke.

Wow. Simply wow!

I'd hit it! [up][up][up]

Hi, nice to hear that there are people who likes the looks . . [up] . . I have a couple of pictures from "the other side" . . and a picture with a passenger/luggagerack mounted (slightly customized rearend from a Ducati 1098)

These are recent pics of my 2 buells. 1 is a 2009 CR with complete Carbonfiber body kit from www.americansportbike.com and the other is my 2008 R with the RR solo-tail swap (lifts tailsection 2" higher like the XBRR, 1125RR, and 1190RR/RS) and is a work in progress waiting on 1125RR fiberglass fairings, and carbonfiber pods and front/rear fenders. I still need to install renthal clip-on bars, ohlins steering damper, frame sliders, axle sliders, accosato brake and clutch levers, deadman switch, and I think Im gonna fabricate a wheeliebar for the 1/4 mile track.
