looks great, IMO the fairing should have been rounded off when you chopped it.

Still looks great[up]

thanks man, your bike has been one of my favorites on here.yeah, i agree. gonna take a little of the pearl and candy out of the black color, looks too brown when the sun isn't bangin off it. figured i'd round it a little then, thinkin about takin a little off the back edges at the bottom also.maybe 2in.?

thanks everyone, the chin fairing has a new clear on it called soft touch from ppg, it is a matte finish, super durable, and feels like rubber to the touch.thought what better place to try it out. plan on putting it on all the bright orange areas and finishing with a little stripe work.i'll get some new pics up when i'm done.

Posted these in another thread, but I should probably add them in here. Picked it up last weekend, and it's pretty much completely stock and in great shape. I'll get some new bars, chopped fender, and hopefully better colored plastics eventually. Just ordered a right had scoop and some frame pucks, other than that it'll probably stay how it is....

Im new to the forum originally from wisconsin but stationed at fort bragg, NC 82nd ABN DIV. Gona ride my bike for the first time in almost a year on July 12th when it comes in to the Dealership......Excited!My bike is pretty much stock with exception to the license plate bracket I made for it and the turn signals which are led cat eyes. Gettin a Pipe from hawk performance, open airbox kit, K&N filter, wrappin the exhaust, breather re-route and possibly a tune depending on how she runs on the dyno. Also got plans for bar-end mirrors as well.

jbxb the turn signals i have I purchased from Midwest Action Cycle in Lake Geneva, Wi,they are roughly $15 a pair. the only thing I did was instead of splicing new ends onto existing factory wires on the bike I took a pair of stock xb turn signal plugs spliced them onto the new cat eyes and they plug right in. the only thing I would recommend is getting the resistor from ASB to slow the flash down. I like them flashing fast makes them more visible and they are very bright. I'll get back to you on what brand they are
