Hi all!
I'm the proud new owner of an '07 XB12R with 33,000 miles .When the engine is warmed all the way up,it idles at about 2200rpm.
I bought it with an aftermarket exhaust and a dead battery. Replaced the battery. It seems to run well besides that.

ken: you need to perform a tps reset....setting of 5.1-5.5.....i prefer 5.1.....then start bike, bring up to operating temp, and manually adjust your curb idle speed screw for approx. 1000rpm at operating temp. your 2007 has a manually adjustable tps value in conjunction with a manually adjustable curb idle speed adjuster assembly. that assembly is behind the left side factor air intake scoop. look there and you'll see same. what you are experiencing is a "hanging warm idle" due to the above items being out of adjustment. also check to be sure there is sufficient free-play in the "puller" throttle cable. that cable is the one towards the front of the switch gear assembly. the other cable is the "pusher" cable.

I would also recommend lubing both the "puller" and "pusher" cables, and also the clutch cable since you'll have the lube out. And if you're lubing your clutch cable might as well adjust it if necessary. At this point if you're comfortable, you could adjust the primary chain along the way. Just my thoughts.
