Known for fact blown gasket or guessing game?

Just had a local one post for sale with "a timing issue" he sent me video and I know it's a rod knock....
I feel bad for people buying them with no experience on them. Think it's cheap easy fix, next ya know it cost much as a good one but you did more work :(

Welcome to buell world. Looks nice in the picture. Post up when it's riding again!

Welcome!
I kind of agree with UMDterp13. Be cautious and take your time with the rebuild. Since you have the top end undone you might as well pull the cylinders and replace the rings, check the crank and do everything you can while you're in there.
I split my cases once to repair a crank issue and didn't think to inspect my transmission. Man was that a mistake! Wound up having to split the cases all over again to repair third gear! A lot of time and money down the crapper.
Down load a service manual so you know what to look for. I know it my be very "sportsterlike" but from what I understand it's quite a different animal.
Like I said, get a service manual and you should be good to go!
Good luck

Haha no guessing game here, i don't guess. Definitely a blow head gasket. Every wear item from the base gasket up will be serviced or repaired.
