NGK Iridiums??

Anyone have any luck finding NGK Iridiums for the 09 XB9SX. I work at Napa and have close ties to the NGK boys, but unable to find one or any feedback on them.
 
I found them at autozone NGK DCPR9EIX their part number for it is NGK 2316.They had them in stock
 
Chase112s I switched to the 2316 plugs and found them to have quite a better spark, this eliminated
plug fouling of my rear cylinder. I am sure I caused the fouling by touching the throttle before firing up, but a difference was noticed by the change.

thanks guys. I've run NGKs in everything I have with wheels. I found them to be better than most. In my car I run a cold plug and close the gap 10 thou. gets more power and a little better economy. Wanted stock stuff out of the bike ASAP.
 
I just ordered my from Americansportbike.com if you still needed a place to find them.
 
i was looking at that ironmachine website and thay have the race plugs NGK DCPR8EIX... says they work in the xb12s.
Anyone used these or using and if so how do they fare?

I believe its just a little colder plug? i can't remember how it goes but its just a 8 instead of a 9. Lower heat range.[smirk]
 
I went with the lower "Colder" heat rated plug which is the DCPR9EIX since our bikes tend to run hot anyway. Here's a thread with some good discussion/explanation on heat ratings for plugs & other stuff: Spark Plug Thread

I thought so too till I put some Splitfire plugs in my Wolverine 4-wheeler, that's all I did. After that it ran so hot my legs couldn't take it, switched back to original plugs. Made it noticeably hotter. I can't explain, but it definitely ran hotter with only the plug change. [smirk]
 
I went to the bike parts place here in Vegas the other day and asked about the NGK race plugs DCPR8EIX and they asked me why i wanted to increase the temp of my engine.
Still not knowing my arse from my elbow when it comes to this stuff i couldn't answer them.
They said if i had done a big bore kit i would need to use those plugs but they said it wasn't needed.
Being one of very few Vegas Buell owners, there aren't too many people to ask about this around here so can anyone help me out with this so i don't look like a pratt again.

Maybe if you ask them about the DCPR9EIX instead. It's the cooler heat rating of the 2 and seems to be used more often - though both are regularly used with no problems. Ask them for an explanation since I'm no expert either.
